Maybe you could look into the EURO currency change over strategy that was inplace a lil over 10 years ago. Lot of consulting note at service marketplace and also SPRO had still a few entries dedicated to it last time I checked.

It's all about choosing a cut date to start from and convert your customizing and master data from this point on.
