Special Character issue.

Hi,

My scenario is Idoc to AS2, the user copied and pasted the description in idoc and it created special character in it, using PI, the idoc is converted to idoc text format and submitted to GXS, there they are mapping the Idoc text file to EDI. So the issue is, its failing in EDI because of the special character, but there is no failure in PI, but want to know the ways to handle this special character in PI idoc.
