You don't need to preform live to live in production environment. You can perform these steps in dev to test environments.
LCMBIAR is not recommeded for backup of content, it should be only used for promotions, not for backing up productiion content.
Backup CMS DB (using DB backup tools) and FRS, not LCMBIAR
