CRM Billing and Financial postings related to Invoice before goods issue process

Invoice Before Goods Issue Billing question related to transferring postings to FI.


I am looking to find information to see if it is possible to stop the transfer of CRM Billing documents to post to accounts in FI (R/3) when an IBGI (invoice before goods issue) occurs.  We would like to essentially put the billing document on hold in the BDL (Billing due list) and wait until either the PGI is completed or someone manually releases the items.  We need the final billing document to have the same billing document number assigned that was slotted for that document when it was put on hold.

 

We have a tax requirement for countries that will be using IBGI process.  They do not want the postings to occur in FI (Finance R/3) until the physical material leaves the parts facility.  The reason is because once the warehouse associate does the IBGI and the the billing document is created, it will immediately post to the appropriate FI accounts in R/3.  Potentially dealers could be getting their financial statements before the material has physically arrived (or left our facility in some cases) at the dealers location.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated if anyone has any ideas or has done this in the past.

 

I am using CRM 7.0 EPh3 using the SPM (Service Parts Management) solution.
